Dear clients, friends, and family,

 

 I have been working diligently in preparing the studio for everyone’s safe return. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: my commitment to your safety, health, and well-being, in addition to amazing effective massages treatments!  

 

I will continue to follow the universal precautions on the sanitation and practice guidelines recommended by the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC), Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB), along with infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). If you only knew what these guidelines entailed, you would wonder what more we could be doing! As we navigate our way with Covid-19, I will responsibly adhere to the state and county required guidelines. And for the sake of the health and safety of everyone who walks through our door, I ask that you do the same. 

 

I must advise against scheduling an appointment at this time for those high-risk individuals. While information is still limited, the CDC indicates that these underlying conditions place people at a higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19: 

 

› Those 65 years or older › Chronic lung disease › Moderate to severe asthma › Heart conditions › Compromised or suppressed immunity › Severe obesity (body mass index of 40 or higher) › Diabetes › Chronic kidney disease › Liver disease

New Studio Etiquette:

 

  • Please do not arrive if you are feeling ill, if you have been exposed to Covid-19 within the last 14 days, or if you are experiencing symptoms. Symptoms of Covid-19 include:

 

  • Fever over 100.4 degrees

  • Chills/shakes

  • Difficulty breathing/shortness of breath

  • Dry cough

  • Sore throat

  • Sneezing

  • Skin Rashes or skin changes

  • Sudden loss of taste or smell

  • Gastrointestinal upset


 

  • All cancellation fees will be waived during this time. 

  • You will receive two emails prior to your appointment. One will be to confirm. The second will be a questionnaire and waiver that must be completed prior to each service. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of your appointment. Your temperature may be taken upon entry. 

  • Only clients receiving a service or picking up products will have access to the studio. No guests allowed. Minors may be accompanied by one adult. 

  • When you arrive for your appointment contact me outside with your phone. I will text you or wave you in when I am ready to welcome you inside.

  • All clients must wear a face mask (covering the nose and mouth) upon entering and leaving the studio. If you are receiving a facial treatment, you may remove it for the actual service but the mask must be worn as you leave the room. I will also wear a face mask and face shield during the entire service. The face shield will be an extra barrier, as you will not be wearing a mask when lying face down. 

  • Please sanitize your hands at our new ‘sanitation station’ before entering the studio.

  • As much as I love our conversations in treatment, we must keep our conversations to a minimum during service. 

  • All tools, equipment, and commonly touched surfaces will be sanitized with a disinfectant before and after each client.

  • All payments for treatment must be completed prior to the session. Payments will be through touchless electronic systems via Square invoice emails, Venmo, Paypal, or Zelle.  Cash is also preferable and will be needed prior to the session. 

  • These protocols will continue to be refined and adjusted as needed and I will keep you informed every step of the way. 

 

New Appointment Arrangement:

 

  • All appointments will be at a flat time of 60 minutes, in order to provide quality sessions, adequate sanitation between clients, and to limit our social interactions for everyone's health and safety.

 

  • I, unfortunately, will not be able to honor those with prior recurring appointments due to the need to alter the schedule to implement new practices.

 

  • Appointment schedule, for the time being, will be designated Monday-Friday as follows:

    • 11:00 AM

    • 1:00 PM

    • 3:00 PM

    • 5:00 PM

 

  • Post-session review, home-care tips, and to schedule for follow-ups will be done via email or by phone outside of the studio. 

 

Though treatment times, amenities, and even the studio itself will be different, I am dedicated to providing the same attention and care to your massage treatments. But I must stress the serious nature we are all in, as COVID-19 can be asymptomatic and still be contagious. There is no way to completely protect ourselves from this virus and it is because of this I must take every precaution necessary to ensure my safety and the safety of all of my clients. Please answer the Covid-19 Intake questions truthfully... failure to do so could put others at risk, including myself, and additionally, the possibility of me having to closing my business and my partner's business once again in order to properly quarantine. This is a time we must work together more than ever and do everything asked so we can do our best to protect each other.
